It’s not and never the end as long as you are alive.
Wake up from that challenge, from that set back. Someone once said that every setback is a setup for a comeback, another thing I know is that every challenge is a set up for a change.
You may have lost money in your business or not gotten rewarded according to your investment, but losing in business doesn’t mean losing business.
That you did not get the right result doesn’t mean you are a failure- it only means you did not do something right. The question is now what then do you do!
Sit down and think, not sit down and complain, know what you did wrong and know how to do right, know how to handle this challenge so as not to end up in it again, make this set back a stepping stone for a strike back… to wake up is not to give up, to wake up is to rise up. Know this- your best days can never be behind you
I’ve heard it so many times, “education is not end, it is just the means”- but what does this mean.
If we could be taught from school that life is not all about 1+1, osmosis, or elasticity of demand, we would know what it means.
The truth is, education is all about knowledge and knowledge doesn’t end within the four walls of a class room, meaning education, schooling and literacy are three different but related terms.
Education is what you get in school; literacy is the result of education. We have agreed that education ends at some point but knowledge doesn’t. Right from school start planning, right from school try to picture the future you want and evaluate what it would take to get it. It is sad to see undergraduates who don’t have any idea of the world, or graduates who become freshers in the world over again when they graduate.
Start knowing by planning, know what hard work is, what purpose is and what success is all about. This is very important because if you don’t know or get an idea through planning you would know failure by experience.
Education is a good start, but for a great finish… start planning now!
Let’s say you are working, how do you work? And what results do you get?
I’ll just give one tip concerning this issue, develop yourself.
Make what you do become better, do better today, what you did yesterday. Enlarge your capacity; a good way to enlarge your capacity is to increase your knowledge about whatever you are doing. Let’s see this illustration.
A specialized car engineer (or mechanic) would take a shorter time to repair or correct a fault in a car than a local mechanic or apprentice would. Now this is so because he understands his work and this makes him to do it better, but he doesn’t just do it in a short time, he does it better. Now all things being equal, who would you call if your car has a fault? Definitely the specialized one, you respect him more, refer to him more and pay him more. Relate this to yourself, in whatever area you find yourself in, get to the next level, read books, articles, attend training sessions don’t hesitate to learn something new.
Do what you have to do (that is sane)to get what you want, for what i know, what you want won’t come by “wanting”!
You won’t always have “occupation”, but you would always have work. There’s always work to do, but there isn’t always occupation to have.
Idleness is not having work to do, unemployment is not having an occupation. Now if you are idle, it is either you are lazy (you don’t work to do) or you don’t have work to do, but not having work to do doesn’t mean there is no work to do. Stop complaining, it never solves the problem, it only elongates the problem. What we have to do is to think of what is there to do, and think of what we can do.
The word of God says…. “ whatever he does, he shall prosper” Yes, there are some occupations that can be classed as dignified, but there is more dignity in labour, what am I saying, You can’t be fruitful… if you don’t first plant your seed.
So many Christians are missing it… God works miracles so he doesn’t expect you to sit down doing nothing. God would bless the Works of your hand.
So the question is Are You Working?
Genesis 33: 1-4
The book of Genesis chapter 27 gives us a prelude to the incidence that brought enmity between Esau and Jacob. In the 32nd and 33rd Chapters of Genesis, we see the steps Jacob took to reconcile with his brother. Jacob asked God for help and that God should touch the heart of Esau that he might find grace in his eyes. This provoked more blessings upon Jacob’s life. Many children of God live in hatred and unforgiveness instead of walking in love as God commanded us to. You can’t get God to do things on your own terms. Reconciliation and forgiveness might just be exactly what you need for that desired business exploit. It may be hard, but just let go of the wrong-done to you. It may seem difficult, but just go and ask for forgiveness. It would bring peace and set you up for great exploits in life and business. God bless you.
Genesis 28:20-22; Genesis 35:1-2,7,11; Malachi 3:8-12
If you’re being following this series, you’ll remember that the first two “SECRETS OF JACOB’S BUSINESS EXPLOITS” was “PROMISE” and “UNDERSTANDING THE TIMES AND SEASONS”. Today, we’ll be looking at the third one, remembering your vows. Jacob remembered his vow unto the Lord God which he made at Bethel. Many people today in the heat of a crisis or in dire need of God’s intervention make vows unto God, but when their desires are granted, they forget to redeem their vows. Ecclesiastes 5:6 tells not to be in haste to make any vow because it can affect the works of our hands if not fulfilled. If you want to succeed in business with great exploits then fulfill your vows made unto the Lord God and he would cause his face to shine on you.
2) Principle of Growth
When we look at Genesis 30:25, we would discover that Jacob had 12 children from his two wives and their two maids. He knew he had grown beyond living under the hospitality of his father-in-law. It was time for Him to grow. As believers, we must understand the times and seasons, we must know when to continue service at a particular level and when to grow to another of level. Jacob grew from service unto his father-in-law to service unto God and his family.
We can also understand the times and seasons in life and “surf the night wave” in life by the help of the Holy Ghost.
The Holy Spirit is my helper and my guide; By Him I understand the times and the seasons and by Him I therefore take the right steps to surf the right waves of change in Jesus Name. Amen.
Jacob understood two things which are:
– Principle of Service/Servant hood
– Principle of Growth
1) Principle of Service/Servant hood
He understood that there’s a time for you to be a servant and you would have to serve a master and be faithful at it. Many individuals today want to own very big businesses which they lack the technical know-how to manage. Many possess what is called “an unteachable spirit” i.e. a spirit that does not want to be taught or a person that does not want to humble and learn through service. Jacob did not say, “I have a very rich father, Isaac why should I work for my uncle.” It is most for us to utilize whatever capacity. God has endowed us with to serve.
There are trade secrets and principles behind every business exploit. Jacob operated principles and properly utilized the trade secrets.
Jacob had the promise of God functional and actively operational in his life. Jacob’s success in business was by the promise of God. As children of the Almighty God and by faith, descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, we have this same promise at work in our lives. Halleluyah!!!
Be bold and courageous, go out and perform that which has been committed to you do. Jacob’s father blessed him. Jacob’s brother was against him and hated him, so you’re not the first one with issues in your family. The family issues in Jacob’s life did not stop him from having great business exploits, because he had the promise of God working in his life.
Get the promises of God working in your life. Receive the promise and believe the promise then work with it.
Malachi 3:8-12: 8 Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings. 9 Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation. 10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.11 And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the Lord of hosts.12 And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the Lord of hosts.
From the reference scripture, we can conclude that there’s a category of people who can be termed as “God-robbers”.
They are those who do not pay their tithes and do not also give their offerings. There is a curse upon all those who rob God. This can hinder prosperity in business and life. Your tithe is one-tenth (1/10) of your income. If you must prosper by the word in life and business, you must be a faithful tither and give your offerings to the Lord.
Giving of your “whole tithe” and offerings would provoke God to open the windows of heaven on you. God would also rebuke the devourer for your sake.
Do you know that for your sake a government taxation policy which can adversely affect your profit in business can be stopped?
Do you know that tithing provokes social prosperity and acknowledgement?(Malachi 3:11-12). Tithing gives you relevance.
Tithe on your business profits, it is scriptural.
If you have never paid your tithe or you stopped do so, I urge you by the Spirit of God to start, do so today. You will prosper in Jesus Name. Remain Prosperous by the Word
