From Joshua 1: 8, we understand that we flourish day and night by meditation (association with the word of God). Meditate in the Hebrew language is “Hagah” which means to speak, study, talk, mutter, utter, imagine, ponder. Therefore, we can divide into a 3-step procedure;
1) Study
2) Thinking (Ponder and Imagine)
3) Speak (Talk, utter, mutter)
When you study, ponder on and speak, the word of God day and night, it would become a lifestyle. Then you would naturally speak the word of God (the mind of God) to every situation you face. This would cause you to naturally flourish in all your endeavours. The word of God is a sure source of flourishing. As you dig deep into the word continually and you do consistently what it says, it reproduces itself in you (2 Corinthians 3:18 “But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.“)
Meditating on the word of God brings you to a state of “God-consciousness”, that is, you become much more conscious of the life of Christ in you and begin to live and flourish as Christ upon the earth.
